Walker Evans 55 Phaidon Photo/biog. book. This book is 5″ by 5″ and approx 128 pages. Walker Evans (1903-75) is now considered perhaps the finest documentary photographer ever. His images have had considerable influence on other artists, not just in the field of photography. He also photographed many shopfronts, billboards and the seemingly inconsequential details of urban life.Phaidon have stopped publishing this series of monographs and these are the last shelf clearances – some books may have ‘NON MINT COPY’ stamped inside but are still better condition than retail bookshop stock!
